The most prevalent problems encountered in the use of boilers are scale deposition and corrosion. Chemical feed water treatment is needed to keep the boiler running efficiently because untreated water will inevitably lead to overheating, pressure drops, tube failures, and loss of efficiency. Jurby WaterTech International produces and supplies JurbySoft® oxygen scavengers, scale and corrosion inhibitors, and cleaners for the treatment of boiler water and condensate systems. JurbySoft® products are developed to comply with existing systems, allowing the achievement of optimal efficiency. Specialists of the company will select or consult with you to help decide on the best chemical treatment for your boiler.
The company experts provide chemical water treatment for:
- steam boilers;
- hot water boilers;
- district heating systems;
- condensate return lines;
- flue gas condensers.
As a part of JurbySoft® products for boiler water treatment, the company offers coagulants and flocculants to enhance overall performance of water treatment programme.
SCALE AND CORROSION INHIBITORS
One of the major problems that affect the operation of industrial boilers is the accumulation of salt deposits on the system’s internal lining. Corrosion is another problem that, if left untreated, can hinder effectiveness, lead to costly maintenance and repairs, and may even lead to boiler breakdown. The JurbySoft® boiler water treatment programme provides effective protection against scale formation and corrosion. Jurby WaterTech International’s JurbySoft® programme improves a boiler system’s reliability and efficiency.
Main advantages of a custom-formulated programme for the treatment of boiler water:
- binds hardness and iron ions in feed water;
- neutralises carbonic gas and adjusts alkalinity to levels of least corrosion;
- promotes the creation of a protective magnetite film on the surfaces of steel and copper alloys;
- ensures free P-alkalinity formation (NаОН) and reduces the risk of caustic embrittlement;
- stabilises sludge and does not allow it to accumulate and adhere in places with bad circulation;
- prevents foaming and carry-over of boiler water, even at the boiler’s maximum productivity level.

OXYGEN SCAVENGERS
Boiler corrosion occurs when dissolved oxygen in the feed water reacts with metal in the boiler. Even small concentrations of dissolved oxygen can cause serious damage and the failure of boiler tubes, piping or economisers. This can be prevented by using oxygen scavengers to remove or reduce the level of oxygen in the entire water system. Jurby WaterTech International’s JurbySoft® products can be used for oxygen scavenging in all types of boilers and heating systems.
Main advantages of JurbySoft® oxygen scavengers:
- provide fast binding of dissolved oxygen;
- do not influence steam quality;
- consist of liquid products that are safe and easy to use;
- offer simple control of dosage according sulphite residues;
- environmentally friendly, with FDA 21.173.310 approved components

CHEMICALS FOR CONDENSATE RETURN LINES
Condensate is hot condensed steam, made up of very pure high-temperature water that is ideal as boiler feed water. However, this water is very corrosive – for example, when it cools, carbon dioxide (CO2) easily dissolves in it. At favourable conditions carbonic, acid forms, which can eat through steel. The company Jurby WaterTech International offers treatment products for steam condensates that protect the condensate system from acid or CO2 corrosion, dissolved oxygen attacks, and erosion, allowing the proportion of condensate returned to be increased.
Main advantages of JurbySoft® condensate line inhibitors:
- easy to use;
- do not increase water salinity;
- do not form any deposits in the boiler;
- are non-corrosive to copper and copper alloys;
- have components that are approved as boiler additives under FDA 21.173.310.

CLEANERS FOR HEAT EXCHANGERS
If the water in boilers or cooling systems is not treated correctly, the surfaces of heat exchangers will get covered in various sediments that reduce heat transfer and increase energy consumption. To restore heat transfer efficiency, the company offers a range of products to clean these surfaces. The product range is grouped according to target residues. Acidic cleaners remove carbonate or ferrous sediments, while alkaline cleaners disperse oil, materials of organic nature, and other pollutants. Alkaline cleaners are also applied for surface passivation. JurbySoft® can offer a cleaner for any case despite the typo of heat exchangers and metal alloys used.
